~ The importance of music in movies

Think of your favortie movies, it probably has some pretty damn good music in it doesn’t it?  When audio and visual match up it can create pure magic.

Here are a few of my favorite examples:

Film: Office Space / Song: Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta — Geto Boys

Film: Trainspotting / Song: Perfect Day — Lou Reed

Film: Mean Streets / Song: Jumpin Jack Flash — The Rolling Stones

What are your favorite musical moments in film?

~ Is the NFL too dangerous?

Legendary former San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau died Wednesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler, became the third NFL player in the last 15 months to commit suicide.

Although Seau had no official record of concussions during his 20-year playing career, the way he chose to kill himself — in the chest, not the head — suggests that he might have wanted his brain to be examined.

Friday, it was revealed that his family would allow researchers to study his brain for damage caused by concussions.

Simply put, is the NFL too dangerous?
