~ Is the NFL too dangerous?

Legendary former San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau died Wednesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler, became the third NFL player in the last 15 months to commit suicide.

Although Seau had no official record of concussions during his 20-year playing career, the way he chose to kill himself — in the chest, not the head — suggests that he might have wanted his brain to be examined.

Friday, it was revealed that his family would allow researchers to study his brain for damage caused by concussions.

Simply put, is the NFL too dangerous?
